Matshelo is the only student from the African continent under her category, others are from the United Kingdom (UK). This nomination, to her will go a long way adding value to her future career. During her interview to BU, she noted that she takes pride in being a BU student because it has contributed significantly to her shortlisting. “I pay tribute to my training provider Botho University for seeing something in me by nominating me for the award and for providing me with a conducive learning environment, the likes of an e-library where you can just freely go and study, the practice labs, WIFI for researches etc.
It also provides competent and zealous lecturers who are not just willing to help us pass our modules but also impress upon us that we need to become independent learners who are well-rounded, prepared to start own ventures, and capable of being employed anywhere on the globe” she said.
Furthermore Matshelo, praised her classmates and family for their support and team spirit they have displayed to make this award nomination possible. This nomination means a lot to Matshelo simply because of the attitude she has towards her studies, lecturers, and the people in her life as it will take her to greater heights. As a self-driven individual, she encourages her colleagues consult lecturers all the time, get involved in self development activities and to put God first in everything they do.
