Tips that will help you study smart and not hard

Before we even get far, there is no correct specific approach to studying better, however a few of these tips might come in handy.

Before even attempting to study, you should learn how to study better to avoid frustrations, distractions and stress.

The more you learn your study habit, the better.

For some students studying comes easy, while others have to work just a little bit harder. Luckily for you, BU online has come to your rescue!

Here are a few tips that will help you study smart, not hard:

Make a study schedule

That will be a reminder of the things to do for that period of time, it will come in handy not to miss important deadlines. Make notes of topics to cover maybe for an upcoming exam and set goals.

Study with a group

Well, others might disagree but it might work for you. At least try it and find out how that helps you. At least try it out and find out how it works out for you. Apparently it encourages an interactive environment to keep you engaged. Think of helpful study activities you might do with your study mates.  However, if it doesn’t work for – Study alone!

Maybe read your notes out loud

Pretend as if you are giving a speech or presentation in class… Remember that your ears can remember what they heard than what your eyes saw, that way it will be easy to memorize what you studied. Nobody wants to study long hours only to forget in the exam room. So every trick that will help you remember is worth it.

Draw, draw and draw!

Remember a saying ‘a picture is worth a thousand words’? Well, even in this case. Ou can draw demonstrations of what you have studied or even simpler, summarize what you studied in a drawing…Yes, that’s totally a good idea!

Teach someone

You have probably heard or read somewhere that teachers never stop learning. So if you teach someone, even if it’s your mother or whoever at home, chances of you remembering what you studied are high. Not only will you remember them but know and understand.

Knowing how to study better will benefit your academics and your study period at BU.

So there you have it… Why not pick which study method works best for you?
