Master the art of ‘coding’ and become your own boss like Mr Hafeni!

Let us introduce you to the man who has made life cooler and easier for Namibia travelers by creating the country’s own version of the Uber carpool service!

Immanuel Hafeni, the Namibian innovative behind Nam Transport Booker. An app that helps Namibian travelers find available vehicles to their respective destinations.

Using the app, drivers can connect to their customers to eliminate the chances of travelers losing their luggage.

Immanuel saw that there was a lot of chaos that Namibian travelers experienced at bus stations and pick-up points.

So one would say he brought relief to Namibian travelers with his innovation!

Immanuel studied Bachelor in Computer studies and developed the app using JavaScript, HTML & SQL for the database.

The same languages that you too will learn when you study a BSc (Hons) in Computing.

Thing is, technology is an important tool that helps people communicate better.

Growing up, he looked up to Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerburg, who definitely need no introduction.

Not only are they his role models because of their success, but because of their love of giving back.

Being the reason and motivation behind his innovation.

Wouldn’t it be cool if you too as a Namibian young creative, stop waiting for international application developers to come up with tools that will help Namibians advance technologically?

Ye, be the one to come up with communication tools custom-made for Namibians.

He wishes to turn his innovations into a business empire to motivate other young Namibians to apply the knowledge and skills they acquire at universities to come up with innovations that will help other people.

Immanuel encourages young people to have an interest in coding and programming. As he believes it brings out the innovation abilities in people.

Coding enables you to come up with your own websites and better yet, starting your own technology business. How cool is that? Being your own boss!

An interest in IT enables one to understand the processes shaping the world.

which is why considering this degree will benefit you today and in the future.

You too can come to the rescue with innovation(s) just like Immanuel’s.

At Botho University, we offer a BSc (Hons) in Computing, the same course Immanuel studied to become a Namibian innovator.
